Every Friday you can find a free game to check out, courtesy of Gamer Reverie. The genres and quality will vary, so be sure to check every week to see what I've dug up for you!
This won't be a series with a ton of pictures and
explanations. Just a glance at the stats, a quick description of the game
and its genre, and why I thought it was worth sharing (aside from being
free).
THE STATS
Name: Princess Remedy in a World of HurtDeveloper: Ludosity, Remar Games
Publisher: Ludosity
Release Date: December 1, 2014
Genres: Action, Adventure, Indie
Available: Steam
Remedy, a recent graduate from the Saturnian healing school, must descend to Hurtland and use her powers to heal everyone from stray ducks to dark lords, and finally cure the ailing Prince Hingst. It's a short, whimsical adventure with plenty of heart(s).
This game was one of Ludosity's entries in the Games Against Ebola charity game jam in 2014. This version was made after the jam to include options, multiple save files, more difficulty levels, and gamepad support. It also has a sequel! The music alone casts me back to late nights under my bed covers, playing games on my Sega Game Gear. That alone will probably see me playing it at some point!
