Good news, everyone! I have already registered for Extra Life 2022! This will be my 10th year, so I figured I would share some facts about my participant experiences:
- My lowest fundraising total was my first year: in 2013 I raised $355.
- My highest fundraising total was a couple years ago: in 2020 I raised $3201.
- The only year I didn't make it to my goal was 2015, and it's because I was preoccupied getting to know my now-husband! (Coincidentally, that was also the year I took a break from LOTRO...)
- I was a Team Captain for 6 years, leading a group of my friends called [+INT] Intelligence Modifiers.
- I have raised a cumulative total of $12,475 for Children's National in D.C.
- I have raised that much without being able to stream for 6 years.
- Extra Life is the reason I met my husband! Explanation: Trion (RIFT) gifted participants with starter packs. I signed up to try RIFT as a result. Met my now-husband in a guild and learned from him how to run raids AND have fun at the same time. Moral of the story: Charity changes your life!
