Sheepy: A Short Adventure is a handcrafted pixel platformer that follows Sheepy, an abandoned plushy, as he is brought to life. Set in the sewers beneath a city, you slowly discover that things are not quite what they seem. As you travel deeper you develop skills, pick up lore and explore secrets in an ever increasingly challenging world based on the music and community MrSuicideSheep has curated and engaged with for more than 10 years. Internally, Sheepy: A Short Adventure leans on influences from games like Celeste, Little Nightmares, Inside, Uncharted, Portal 2, Shadow of the Colossus and, culturally, the SCP Universe. Sheepy: A Short Adventure is the first game from MrSuicideSheep and will be initially releasing on Steam and Itch.io. The standard edition is free to play with an average playtime of around 45-60 minutes.
Sheepy: A Short Adventure is the creation of Solo-Developer Thomas Lean and Producer Rob Thomas. Seeking Blue's Label Manager Lucas James leads soundtrack development with label artists Yoe Mase, Hahlweg and Tal from ECHOS. Sheepy remains Executive Producer (the enigmatic and mysterious real-life Sheepy behind YouTube curation channel MrSuicideSheep, one of the original and longest running music curation channels on YouTube). Rob connected with Thomas in the early days of 2020 and an impressive crime fighting duo was born. Thomas created a single short level prototype which was used as the foundation for Sheepy: A Short Adventure. The game began full development in November 2020.

I have been a HUGE fan of the MrSuicideSheep channel on YouTube for YEARS. I am, however, really bad at following actual news from channels that I follow, choosing instead to consume their output -- in this case, a lot of great music. Imagine my surprise when I went browsing through the free games on Steam and saw that this was released a couple weeks ago! It was added to my library in about half a second! I am looking forward to playing it during my birthday vacation next week.
