Freebie Friday: Cube Escape - Paradox

Every Friday you can find a free game to check out, courtesy of Gamer Reverie. The genres and quality will vary, so be sure to check every week to see what I've dug up for you!

This won't be a series with a ton of pictures and explanations. Just a glance at the stats, a quick description of the game and its genre, and why I thought it was worth sharing (aside from being free).

THE STATS

Name: Cube Escape: Paradox
Developer: Rusty Lake
Publisher: Rusty Lake
Release Date: September 20, 2018
Genres: Adventure, Free to Play, Indie
Available: Steam

When the infamous detective Dale Vandermeer wakes up in an ominous room without any recollection of his past, he soon finds himself part of a bizarre game orchestrated by an old foe. Dale must solve increasingly challenging puzzles to escape the room and recover his memories.

Features:
  • A unique, never-before-seen, game/film crossover experience
  • The absorbing gameplay, atmosphere and wealth of puzzles fans would expect from the tenth Cube Escape game
  • A ton of connections and interactions with Paradox - A Rusty Lake Short Film
  • There will be two different chapters available (one for free and one premium) with multiple endings
  • Beautiful paintings handmade by Johan Scherft
  • Immersive and atmospheric soundtrack by Victor Butzelaar
  • Powerful voice-overs by Bob Rafferty and lead actor David Bowles
  • Supporting 14 different languages

First of all, this is from Rusty Lake -- which is both the developer's name AND the name of the world they've built to make stories in. I like that level of dedication, being a world-builder myself. Also, I have covered one of their games before: The White Door. This is the 10th Cube Escape game, so let that speak for itself! But also, the film element really sends me back to the days of Myst!
